Over 100 graduate From St Joseph Integrated Technical College

A total of 126 graduates received diplomas in construction engineering at St Joseph Integrated Technical College Campus in Nyamirambo, Kigali, on October 21.

The minister of State in charge of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), Olivier Rwamukwaya, urged the students to put the skills acquired into practice as they move into practice.

“We are here to celebrate your hard work – as of today you are now no longer students but professionals. Remember not everyone got the chance to study, so treat this as a stepping stone to another level,” he said.

Out of the total of 126 students eight of them attained first class diplomas. Hon Rwamukwaya also called upon the graduates to work hard if they are to go far in their careers.

“You are going outside and you will be challenged. However, you need to be versatile and able to cope with new environments as you acquire more skills,” he advised.

Manirarora Felcien, a graduate, said she was going to put the skills acquired to good use in the near future.

“In all seriousness, today is a milestone for each of us and our families, and it is to our loved ones that we owe our deepest thanks’.

He also added that “I loved it here. But it wasn’t always easy -qualifications are quite different from job expectations. But I will do everything possible to exploit these skills acquired for a better future,” she said.
