WDA and Umwalimu Sacco laud the RPA’s bravery stop the 1994 Genocide against Tutsis
The Workforce Development Authority (WDA) officials together with their counterparts from the Umwalimu Sacco laud the bravery of Rwandan Patriotic Army (RPA), now Rwanda Defense Force (RDF), to stop the 1994 genocide against Tutsis.
Following the third address of three to be given during the 24th commemoration occasion that has been outlining the Uniqueness of Rwanda in fighting the consequences of 1994 genocide against Tutsis, officials from both entities laud the RPA bravery during and after genocide to restore and built the country.
“The 1994 Genocide against Tutsis took only three months and over million people died, but I normally think what would happen if the RPA run out of munition?” posed Laurence Uwambaje, the director general of Umwalimu Sacco, during today’s commemoration event.
“It shows how the RPF took a unilateral and brave decision to stop the Genocide, rescue victims and defeat the genocidal forces with little supply,” she said.

Officials acknowledged the RPA for their bravery to stop the genocide and rebuilding the country and said that despite though the aftermath effects of genocide were beyond understanding, the government has did the extra-ordinary work to restore the country in various domains.
