What is the difference between formal and technical training?

Formal training teaches practical skills necessary for understanding preliminary ideas, concepts and tools associated with a job. It is through generating a framework upon which real world experiences are given deeper meaning and specialized context.

While Technical training is the process of teaching how to more accurately and thoroughly perform the technical components of a job. This kind of training can include technology applications, products in which technical skills are job-specific as opposed to transferable soft skills.
